Про вендора

В начале 1960-х годов в токийском Музее искусств «Бриджстоун» куратор Хидео Мацусита устраивал концерты по прослушиванию пластинок, на которых люди знакомились с виниловыми записями, воспроизведенными на высококачественном аудиооборудовании. Мацусита был тронут положительной реакцией гостей на музыку, но был расстроен тем, что из-за дороговизны прослушивания пластинок многие люди не могли испытать их на себе.

В 1962 году Мацусита основал компанию Audio-Technica с целью создания высококачественного аудио для всех. Следуя этому видению, он вскоре создал первый действительно доступный фонокартридж AT-1 в небольшой квартире компании в Синдзюку, Токио.
